Introduction
The photo above shows Hitler, Germany’s new chancellor, photographed in Berlin in March 1933. To his right stands Papen, to his left, Goebbels. Fast forward 100 years to March 2033 and we could see Hitler rise again to become the new chancellor for the last half of the seven-year tribulation period.
Smyrna is to suffer for ten days
I have always wondered what the ten days of suffering and persecution in Rev. 2:10-11 are referring to when Jesus wrote His letter to the church in Smyrna. He warned this particular end-times church that they were about to suffer greatly and that the devil was about to put them to a great test. Some would be put in prison and some would even lose their lives. I have thought for a while that this may refer to the last ten days of awe between the rapture of the church on the Feast of Trumpets (Tishrei 1-Jewish New Year’s Day) and the Day of Atonement (Tishrei 10) when Christ returns in glory. But I now have another theory and possibility and it all has to do with Nazi history going back exactly 100 years.
Enabling Act of 1933
The Enabling Act of 1933 was the day that Adolf Hitler officially became a dictator of Nazi Germany with full dictatorial powers. The act passed in both the Reichstag (lower house) and Reichsrat (upper house) parliaments on 23rd March 1933 and was signed by President Paul von Hindenburg later that day. Once the Enabling Act became in force, the chancellor could pass and enforce unconstitutional laws without any objection. The combined effect of the Enabling Act and the Reichstag Fire Decree ultimately transformed Hitler’s cabinet into a legal dictatorship and laid the groundwork for his totalitarian regime. Hitler officially became chancellor on the 30th January 1933 through intrigue by means of an agreement by a few powerful men but it wasn’t until the general election on Sunday 5th March 1933 that his National Socialist party together with the German nationalist party with a combined 52% of the vote formed government in their own right. But that still didn’t give Hitler unbridled power as a dictator. It wasn’t until nearly 3 weeks later when the Enabling Act was passed that Adolf Hitler had clear air as the ultimate dictator for the next 12 years. According to Wikipedia the Nazis dramatically escalated the political repression after this Act was passed, and the party now armed with the Enabling Act outlawed all political activity. By July 1933, the Nazis were the only legal party allowed to participate. The Reichstag from 1933 onward effectively became the rubber-stamp parliament that Hitler always wanted.
Fast forward 100 years
Fast forward exactly 100 years from this day and we arrive at 22nd March 2033. Just ten days before this date on the eve of Purim, 13th March 2033, is the date that I am seeing when the Antichrist will come up out of the abyss.1 The Bible tells of a riddle that says the beast/Antichrist is a resurrected man from history (once was, now is not, and yet will come). He has to be a world ruler/dictator who ruled one of the seven previous Gentile mountain kingdoms (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia-Medes, Greece, Rome, German Nazi).2 Adolf Hitler in my opinion is the only historical dictator who matches all the clues.
Amazingly this man comes back from the dead almost exactly to the day 100 years after he came to power as ruler of Nazi Germany. Could it be that the coming beast will be ratified as the unrivaled leader of the world on the 100-year anniversary of the Enabling Act? Upon his rising from the abyss to his possible ratification as the final world dictator there is a ten-day period. Amazingly these ten days could be the very ten days that Jesus was referring to in Rev. 2:10. No doubt that the first ten days will be a torrid time when the Two Witnesses will be immediately killed by him, the Abomination of Desolation set up on the wing/extremities of the temple precinct and the Jewish sacrificial system stopped. The complete surrender of the temple however will take 150 days or five months just as it took five months for Roman General Titus from around Passover in April to early September AD 70 from besiegement to the city totally being in Roman hands.3 His actual coronation however when the Man of Lawlessness sits in God’s temple declaring himself to be God could take place as early as 22nd March 2033 exactly 100 years to the day after the Enabling Act was signed. Furthermore from the 22nd March 2033 until 21st September 2036 is exactly 42 months, the duration mentioned in Rev. 11:2 as the time that the Gentiles will trample on the holy city, Jerusalem. The 21st or the 22nd September is Rosh Hashanah or Jewish New Year’s Day in 2036, the date of the 1st resurrection and rapture. It is important to note that 1260 days, 1290 days, 42 months, and time, times and half a time all refer to slightly different periods of time.
Pact with the devil
It’s interesting to note that many people thought that they were dealing with the devil when they were dealing with Adolf Hitler and that may not be too far wrong. When Hitler came to power in 1933, the most pressing economic problem was high unemployment (it totalled over five million in 1933). Those on the socialist side of the Nazi Party pushed for nationalization and state control. Hitler, however, had no intention of dismantling large industrial enterprises that would be useful for his war economy. To reassure big business, Hitler brought into his government a former president of the Reichsbank and a brilliant economist, Hjalmar Schacht, to run the economy. Nazi economic theory was slender and therefore Hitler turned to Schacht, who had resigned in 1930 in protest at reparation repayments and turned to the Nazis.4 Schacht knew that he was dealing with the devil.
“I desire a great and strong Germany and to achieve it I would enter an alliance with the devil,”
Furthermore, after World War 2, Hitler’s architect Albert Speer who designed the Zeppenfield stadium, a replica of the Pergamon seat of Satan recognised that he probably had been working with the devil when he said…
"It's hard to recognise the devil when he has his hand on your shoulder."
Furthermore was Adolf Hitler prescient when he said that he had a job for a century? Perhaps the devil himself told him that one day he would arise again after 100 years.5
What does this all mean for us today? It means that we need to watch very carefully and study prophecy. Nobody has full knowledge of what may occur but we look dimly through a glass and we make educated guesses.6 But I do believe that the end times scenario is becoming clearer as it gets closer. I am the first to admit that this ten day theory could well be wrong so please do not take it as “thus saith the Lord” as commonly said by the prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah.
