Foundation Series
Understanding today in the light of the beginning
Preached at Churchill Baptist Church
(23/5/2021 → 19/12/2021)
I firmly believe that if we want to understand what God is doing in the world in these end times then we need to understand what He has written and if we want to understand what he has written then we need to start by looking at the foundations—–Genesis.
There are many foundational things written in Genesis that have significance in Revelation. The point is not to become overwhelmed and try to understand everything.
To understand eschatology we must first understand theology.
To understand Revelation we must first understand Genesis.
I hope you enjoy this series as I tie in the book of Revelation to the book of Genesis and vice versa. The series will reveal in Genesis four key events from Genesis 1-11 and four key men from Gen 12-50 from which we can gain valuable lessons about the end times and our preparation for it.

What is the significance of Zephaniah 3:9?
Hi John,
I like the way the Lexham English Bible puts it…
Zephaniah 3:9 (LEB)
“Because then I will make the speech of the nations pure; that all of them might call on the name of Yahweh, to serve him in unison.”
A prophecy that one day Israel will speak a “pure language” (Hebrew) which occurred in the late 19th century which was unprecendented in human history for a dead language to be revived and used. Eliezer Ben-Yehuda was considered to be the “reviver of the Hebrew language.”
Another prophecy fulfilled bringing us ever closer to the end.
Loved the latest message. There’s one way, God’s way. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks again.
