Prepare Series Part 2

It wasn’t very long after 1 Thessalonians and the Apostle Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians maybe months or possibly only weeks after the first letter. Even though Paul had clearly told them not to be concerned about the times and dates of the Day of the Lord, there had come others along in the church who had twisted and changed what Paul had said. They were putting their own spin and bias on the doctrine of the last days. So Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians to clear up any misunderstanding and to clarify what actually was going to take place. I’m so glad that he did write these letters because it gives us as believers today clarity as well.
And this sort of thing happens today as well where confusion may set in over a particular doctrine or teaching. Today there are quite a few areas where we get particularly confused and that is the teaching about Law and Grace, predestination, teachings about the Sabbath, and also the end times as well. Maybe someone hears a sermon or reads a book and they take a new slant or spin on things.
