Perth Mint
Here I am standing outside the Perth Mint and you can see straight away that security is important. The Perth Mint is one of the most well known mints in the world because of its proximity to the goldfields in Western Australia. I had last visited in the 1980s when I first developed my interest in precious metals and bought my first 10 ounce silver bar over the counter. This time they wouldn’t let us in the gates because of the Covid-19 crisis. Health security and financial security are going to be two of the most important issues in the next 15 years or so and this has been brought to a sharp focus during this latest virus pandemic. And it makes me begin to wonder if the mark of the beast will not only be a token for financial security but also a kind of health pass without which you will not be able to travel the world or buy and sell. Already there is support from people such as Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates to have this kind of health certification as he said in a recent Ted Talk interview below.
"Eventually what we’ll have to have is certificates of who’s a recovered person and who’s a vaccinated person, because you don’t want people moving around the world where you’ll have some countries that won’t have it under control. Sadly. You don’t want to completely block off the ability for those people to go there and come back and move around. So eventually there will be sort of this digital immunity proof that will help facilitate the global reopening up."

2FA authentication
We are probably aware of two factor authentication to websites where we are sent a code to our mobile phones as a security measure. What I wasn’t aware of was that there is also three factor authentication (3FA) and even 4FA as well. My question is, could 3FA be a part of the future plan of the mark of the beast? This is interesting because the mark of the beast upon examination in the book of Revelation seems to have similarities to being an authentication system possibly enforcing financial and/or health security upon the world. We are already seeing in recent years how vaccines are being pushed upon people in many different facets of society with the punishment being not being able to participate if one does not get immunised. This is summed up by the common colloquial saying now, “No jab, no pay”. The social pressure to receive vaccines is rising steadily. Imagine what it will be like if the mark of the beast includes a health component as well which is a kind of travel passport to ensure freedom of movement. And the point is that this is already being discussed.
3FA authentication
Well, what is 3FA authentication specifically?
3FA authentication has three components:
- What you know–knowledge: This includes things a user must know in order to log in: User names, IDs, passwords and personal identification numbers (PINs) all fall into this category.
- What you have–possession: This includes anything a user must have in his possession to log in. This category includes one-time password tokens (OTP tokens), key fobs, smartphones with OTP1 apps, employee ID cards and SIM cards.
- What you are–inherence: This includes any biological traits the user has that are confirmed for log in. This category includes the scope of biometrics such as retina scans, iris scans, fingerprint scans, finger vein scans, facial recognition, voice recognition, hand geometry and even earlobe geometry.2
The use of at least one element from each category is required for a system to be considered three-factor authentication–selecting three authentication factors from two categories qualifies only as two-factor authentication (2FA).
Everyday life examples
So let’s take a couple of common examples in our life today. To get into my own small personal safe, I have a key and a combination number. So that is 2FA consisting of what I know and what I have. My car is only 1FA because all I need is my key fob which is what I have. Anyone could steal that key fob off of me and they would be able to enter my car.
Mark of the beast will likely be 3FA
Let’s think about the not too distant future during the last 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation with the mark of the beast. The whole point of the last short period is that the devil will want to enforce loyalty and to receive worshipers. So this period will be a great sifting period where the earth’s inhabitants will need to choose sides. Some will even change sides when confronted with torture and also their eternal destiny. The devil and his beast will use deception, force, and persecution to enlist as many followers as they can. The mark of the beast we know either has the number of his name and/or an image of the beast. The mark3 indicates some sort of engraving, tattoo with a sharp point. The mark will possibly incorporate all three 3FA components including a username and/or PIN incorporating the number of the beast (what you know), possession of the mark either on or in the skin (what you have) and a bio-metric component which can be scanned (what you are). This is possible with modern technology with tags that can be read by scanners. Perhaps the image of the beast comes up when the mark on your right hand or forehead is scanned. With technology today this does not seemed far fetched at all.
Old type of security is outdated
The old type of security around places like the old Perth Mint involves a high fence, a guard and an appointment. When I approached the guard at the Perth Mint gate the other day, he asked who I was, what I wanted and did I have an appointment. In the 1980s the last time, I just walked in and bought my 10 ounce bar easy as you like. This time he told me to buy it online. I didn’t have the right credentials, right information and the right ID card.
My friends, security has changed forever especially now since the pandemic. Health security is now in the mix. Our rights are being squashed slowly and surely. But we need not worry—there is a safe place for those who are willing to go there. What authentication do you need? You need to know what Christ has done for you on the cross and believe it. You need to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit—He is your seal and key to enter. And also you need to be a believer and wise virgin when the time comes–that proves who you are because you have listened to the warnings—an inherence.
Will you be ready when the time comes? It’s not going to be easy.

Thanks Steve. I always enjoy reading about this and then doing research. I do have a question regarding 1FA, 2FA and 3FA. Are they similar to rfid chips as I have recently learnt that thousands of people in Sweden are adopting microchip technology that puts the convenience of a credit card in their hands — literally.
Hi Terry,
Yes I believe that RFID could very well be 3FA. When you think about it, it could replace all 3 components: knowledge; possession; and inherence. The RFID could very well contain a personalised password or PIN incorporating 666 somehow, it would be the actual token embedded in or on the forehead or right hand. And also finally it would replace the need for retina or any type of biological scan because the RFID could just be scanned itself becoming a part of the body. Technology is increasingly merging with the human body and in my way of thinking RFID provides the perfect solution to meet health and financial security concerns. In my research the problem seems to be a power source that would be long lasting enough to remain in the human body.
Body augmentation technology is already being used in many applications including cochlear implants, prosthetics and so forth. See https://www.freshconsulting.com/examples-of-human-augmentation/
Therefore the mark of the beast is not a stretch in this day and age and RFID could well be the answer.
Maybe I could add a clarification… rfid (radio frequence id) is the older generation of passive tag that has weaker security (no batteries), over the last few years replaced with nfc (near field communication) that has high security. NFC is used by bank cards in the tap n go system. Both work on similar electrical principles. Both types are also available as pellets the size of a grain of rice that are injected under neck skins on animals for identification.
Previously humans used only 1FA ie. just passwords. To limit risk extra steps such as adding bio-metrics or phone confirmation has been added to thwart hackers guessing passwords. NFC is only one step… tags by itself would only be 1FA…back to the same problem. So adding more authentication steps are known as MFA… multi factor
HI Steve,
Thanks for this. Could you again clarify your ideas and bible verses to confirm there is not a rapture as a lot of people think there will be, where the Christians are removed from the earth before the ‘really bad stuff’. I am with you on that but would like to know again your ideas so that I have it straight in my mind.
Hope you two are enjoying your stay in Perth.
Hi Denise,
The Luke 21 website contains many articles on why I think that there is a post-trib rapture and not pre. One of my latest blogs, What is the point of the rapture talks about this.
Also click on the “rapture” tag in many blogs or type in the search box at the top “pre-trib” or “rapture” and all the relevant blogs will come up.
Here also is a video which discusses the 22 verses relevant to the tribulation that come up in the New Testament. This is very extensive but it will be helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXiu2K__Aqc
Yes Steve. Things are progressing rapidly, and it is exciting to be seeing Bible Prophecy unfold before our very eyes. Throw in Bill Gates/Microsoft patent wo2020 060606, US Congress Bill HR 6666, and I wonder if the ‘last trumpet’ preceding the rapture will coincide with the blowing of the last trumpet during the Feast of Trumpets ( Rosh Hashanah) in the next few years…. interesting indeed! I pray that you and Cathy are well, and safe as we’re locked down in defacto martial law during this ‘plandemic’…
Thank you Steve. Good to be aware and vigilant. The world has changed so much in the past 4 months and we have had to adapt to that change. I agree it will change more.
